I selected customs union as the topic for my final project because I have a strong interest in international trade and economic integration. Customs unions are a crucial aspect of global trade, as they facilitate the movement of goods and services between member countries by eliminating tariffs and other trade barriers. This promotes economic growth, enhances competitiveness, and fosters cooperation among nations. The added cost of currency conversion and customs check point delays are eliminated in a customs union, making trade more efficient and cost-effective. Creating a customs union can lead to increased trade flows, investment opportunities, and job creation within member countries.
